#Engl303 has been nice, especially compared to my other courses. Timing couldn’t of been better either. I had just started to get involved with the twittersphere, learning to use it as a utility made me feel better about using another social network. Social networking, in general, has been modified in my mind to be perceived as beneficial and practical because of the course, indeed. The course readings, although were annoying at times, made it apparent social networks have cemented themselves in today’s changing society. It didn’t reveal anything new to me though, in terms of components used throughout social media. Twitter and it’s usage of the 140 character cap. had been the only new aspect, which of course had its go-around as a topic of discussion throughout class. The first group project made me realize how cool the asymetry aspect of twitter is, by making news relevant to anyone who wishes to receive it. The final project is pretty cool, specially with how we approached it. Feels nice having a composed piece that you would normally find while on StumbleUpon. Ontop of that, everything being put together in a collection is enlightening, we all share it. The semester went by quickly, a little too quickly. This class was solid, definitely a time of my hectic day where the vibes were calm and collected.
