Through the looking Glass

In today’s modern societies, we all have an understanding that not everything we want to be private is. Anything you post on Facebook that you say is “yours” actually belongs to Facebook in legal situations. Any action you take is captured on camera, either security or privately, and we often strive to capture moments digitally to share with those across the globe. Smart phones keep track of your every key stroke to make sure the company has services to sell you. Even what I am typing right now will be read, commented on, and evaluated. So what is private?

It seems we seek to make everything one. I kind of zen calling in order to promote “security”, “public relations”, and “socialization”. while giving up that grey space that allows us to make small mistakes in our private lives that will not scar out public ones. I can’t even enjoy a beer without worrying someone will take a picture, post it, tag me, and cost me an interview. That’s how bad it has gotten. Individuals must look deep into the future to keep from destroying it with the garbage of youth.
